Some nights you just want to keep things simple. If you’re interested in having a ‘dry night’ in Perth, then you’re in the right place – there’s a whole host of things to see and do Perth in that don’t involve alcohol.

Try some of these fun activities for a great night out:

Get close to nature

Camping under the stars and exploring night trails in Western Australia’s beautiful national parks are an experience you’ll never forget. You can get campsite maps and other info from Parkstay.

Or you can stay out and watch the sunset (or stay up for the sunrise) at one of Perth’s beautiful beaches.

Check out some sports

Perth’s sporting calendar is regularly packed out. Find out what’s on through Eventfinda Perth or see who’s playing at Perth Arena or the Subiaco.  Tennis fans can catch a night match of the Hopman Cup in January.

Live music, events, and films

In the Summertime, you can watch advance screenings, new releases and cult classics at Perth’s famous Moonlight Cinema.  For an elevating experience, there’s also Rooftop Movies in Northbridge.

Perth’s music scene is also jam-packed; to view all that Perth has to offer including nightclubs, bars and live music, check out its concert and gig guide here.

You can sometimes catch a late-night exhibition at one of Perth’s cultural centres such as The Western Australian Museum.

Or, from February to March, see one of the many performances on at the Perth International Festival of the Arts.

Try something a little different…

For the brave hearted, Freemantle Prison runs Torchlight Tours every Wednesday and Friday evening.

And for photography buffs or those who love abandoned places – check out the ruins of Perth’s ill-fated ‘Atlantis Marine Park‘.
